Hooked Rug Mueum of North America
There is no admission to the Market Place portion of the museum and all shopping is tax-free. Come in and see our hundreds of hooked rugs and keepsakes as well as other consignment items.
Entering the museum you are plunged into the history of the art of rug hooking in the Interpretive Centre which focuses on the beginning of rug hooking in North America.
Visitors to the museum will learn the names of famous rug hooking artists. Names like Burnham, Frost, Turner, Tremblay, Mowat, Garrett and many more.
Fibre Fun Thursdays at the Museum
Starting in June we will be hosting "Fun Fibre Drop-Ins" on Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Bring any fibre related project you wish to work on, a brown bag lunch (coffee and tea will be available) and enjoy the company of others. If you have any rug hooking questions Director Ann Piercey-Smith will be on hand to share her hooking expertise! There will be a $3.00 drop-in fee (cash only).
We have had a wheelchair donated to us this year so if you would love to visit but are not very mobile we can make your visit more comfortable as there is a lot to see in all our galleries.
The following dates have been chosen for our 2014 Hook Ins: June 14th, July 12th, August 23rd and September 20th. Please go to the Hook In page on our website
